Hi, I'm Eryl. I'm a photographer, cyclist, and state-record-holding powerlifter.
Photography is like a puzzle. The pieces-lights, people, camera settings-can be placed in infinite ways. I'm constantly asking myself, "How can I arrange these pieces to tell the story I want?" When I sit down and observe, my mind wanders and eventually lands on a solved puzzle. I snap the photo and my vision comes to life. The puzzle is what I love about photography.
I spent my first few years taking photos of hawks, squirrels, deer, and whatever I could find. Going into middle school, my friends wanted photos of their baseball and lacrosse games. Sure! I wanted to make them look their best for Instagram. My main focus transitioned completely into sports, including photographing Dartmouth Athletics and nearly all of my high school's teams. In the fall of my sophomore year, I became the Official Team Photographer for the HHS Football Team. That experience was extremely valuable in improving my craft and developing my business. As I go through my junior year, I'm expanding my business into wedding photography.
